5 Different Valentine’s Date Ideas

Love or hate Valentines day, it’s coming up tomorrow. For those of you who love it, we’ve got some fun Valentine’s activities for you and your significant other (or friends!) to partake in this year.

  1. Hit up a board game cafe.
It’s something that’s a little different, and you can often get drinks or coffee & snacks along with your games. This is a great way to bring a little healthy competition into your relationship. There are a number of board game cafes across the city such as Snakes & Lagers, or Snakes & Lattes, and Castle Board Game Cafe. There are tons of different games to choose from, so pick one you’ve never played before and have fun learning the rules and playing together.
  2. Embark on a culinary adventure.
Embrace your inner foodie and head out on a delicious culinary adventure. There are a number of different locations to choose from around the GTA. To keep it Toronto central for Valentines day, they have a wealth of different food tours available in different pockets of the city. Some of the fun options include:
    – brunch tour of King & Queen West
    – Little Italy or Little India
    – The Danforth
    – St. Lawrence Market & Old Town
    – Chinatown & Kensington Market
  3. Try going on a scavenger hunt.
Making up a scavenger hunt for your significant other is always a ton of fun. But, how much fun would it be if you could do it together? Urban Capers provides a wide range of scavenger hunts in different areas all over the city. Choose from The Great Whisky Heist Mystery, The Mummy’s Curse or Murder at the ROM.
  4. If you’re animal lovers…
There is an event going on at the Toronto Zoo this Valentines day! The evening includes a romantically inspired dinner, a special animal encounter, an interactive group presentation, as well as a glimpse of the future reproductive labs. If fish and aquatic life are more your thing, Ripley’s Aquarium is also having a Valentines dinner event in one of their featured galleries.
  5. For all the singles out there…
There are various speed dating events going on throughout the city. A few venues include: The Social Capital, Office Pub, Pravda Vodka Bar and Amsterdam Brewhouse. Who knows? You might meet that special someone!
