Family Day Long Weekend is coming up and there are a ton of things to do around Toronto!
Whether you want to stay in or get outside, there is something for everyone. Here are our top 5:
- WINTER STATIONS
Winter Stations is a public art installation, along The Beaches shoreline. The installation opens Family Day and features works from the winners of the International Design Competition and celebrates Toronto’s winter waterfront landscape.
- KIDSFEST TORONTO
Celebrate Family Day at Canada’s largest indoor inflatable event for kids, at the International Centre. Little ones can enjoy over 30 inflatables rides, along with fun and educational activities and stage presentations by Hands-On Exotics and Mad Science. Inflatable rides range from large slides to toddler appropriate rides.
- TORONTO LIGHT FESTIVAL
The Toronto Light Festival transforms the Distillery Historic District into a visual journey of 30 awe-inspiring art installations that are perfect for your family to explore. The free festival starts at sundown.
- THE SECRET GARDEN
The Secret Garden, adapted from the beloved children’s book by author Frances Hodgson Burnett, comes to life onstage at Young People’s Theatre. The Secret Garden tells the inspirational tale of Mary Lennox, a spoiled, contrary, solitary child raised in India but sent to live in her uncle’s manor in Yorkshire after her parents’ death. On stage on Monday, February 19 at 2:30 p.m.
- FAMILY FUNDAY WEEKEND
Family day Weekend the ROM celebrates our rich multicultural landscape with musical performances, themed experiences and special hands-on activities inspired by their exhibitions and collections. Activities run from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and are free of charge with museum admission.
What activities will you be doing for Family Day?
Given this chilly weather, I think we’re leaning towards staying inside 🙂
