- Winter Wonderland at the Bata Shoe Museum
If your children love shoes, make sure you bring the kids to the coolest shoebox in the world! Kids can enjoy arts & crafts, hands-on demos, a game of I Spy in the galleries and a special screening of The Snow Queen, based on Hans Christian Andersen’s classic fairytale.
- Winterfolk XV
Toronto’s blues and roots music festival on the Danforth is an all-ages event with 150 of the best of urban, blues, rock, jazz, country, folk and roots music artist’s we’ve got. Round up the entire family and listen to some music. Even make a day of it and hit up a restaurant along the Danforth for lunch or dinner! This festival is a great option if you’ll be celebrating early as it runs from February 17th – 19th.
- Winter Stations 2017
Get outside and see some art this weekend! Winter Stations is back for its third year, and once again, it is inviting Torontonians to get outside to explore the city’s winter waterfront landscapes. This year, the public art exhibition will welcome six new lifeguard stands to Balmy, Kew and Ashbridges Bay beaches in Toronto’s east end, situated south of Queen Street East and between Woodbine and Victoria Park.
- Family Fun at the AGO
Programming highlights include kite-making and bubble wrap-bursting, Gallery tours, family yoga, exciting interactive performances by the SOAR children’s skipping team and a screening of Small Cave, Big Cave, a new short film written by two Toronto seven-year-olds.
Disney-Pixar Ratatouille in Concert
This hilarious animated film tells the story of a rodent’s quest to become a top Parisian chef. The score from the film is performed live by the TSO and takes the charm of the film to an entirely new level.
